SUPERCOLLIDER – Soundwaves EP

SUPERCOLLIDER is a three-piece stoner rock band from Esbjerg, Denmark. They just self released their debut EP called Soundwaves on September 19th 2025. It contains four tracks around twenty eight minutes long. The lineup consists of Kasper Madsen on bass, Jens Krabbenhoft on drums, and Rolf Hansen on guitar and vocals.

“Flee” emerges with a bludgeoning of fuzzy tones and desert grooves. The distortion is so thick and the swampy riffs are striking. This is pure stoner rock done as direct and pummeling as it should be. The vocals are fantastic and sound very fitting for the barrage of heavy rhythms and fuzz. I hear an early Truckfighters flavor in the sound and these cats are excellent. “Flee” is a very layered song of driving rhythms and melodies that sounds catchy with the singing. The over seven and a half minute track is a grandiose opener. SUPERCOLLIDER are cranking there amps with the fuzz levels exceeding normal sonic capacity. The tones rival Astroqueen’s Into Submission for sheer distortion and brutality. It’s so gratifying hearing those crushing riffs cranked up on my noise canceling headphones.

The second track, “Ride The Soundwaves” is another anthem length song at over seven minutes. Full on riffage with a softer vocal touch and freaked out amplification. It’s another heavy, melodic, and very interesting song that showcases the band’s ability to deliver a walloping of true fuzz rock. The guitar leads on this track are very emotive and powerful. SUPERCOLLIDER are making a huge statement with Soundwaves. The relentless and direct force of pure stoner rock can’t be done much better than this. They are true architects of creating such heavy grooves with pulses of melody wrapped around it.

The roller coaster of riff rock continues on with “Clinically Insane”. Musical dynamics and beautiful audio contrasts are here. The heavy to light transitions are fluid and carry head floating heavy psych at the mid point. The catchy chorus and crunchy riffs are in abundance and really make for an enjoyable listen. The fourth and final track is called “Inhumanity” and it’s a banger! The song flows nicely with a ring out of chords and good vocal delivery. They chug up the riffs which adds great variance between each part. The band is always dazzling, musically speaking. The song stays dialed in but a little drifting is brilliantly executed too. SUPERCOLLIDER has really made an enormous impression with this Soundwaves EP. I was drawn in the moment I heard it for the first time and still love every moment of it. It’s yet another incredible EP that has been released in the third quarter of 2025. Heavy underground stoner rock is experiencing a resurgence and SUPERCOLLIDER is delivering the soundtrack.
