They released their latest album entitled 12021: Post-Electric Apocalypse on May 2nd 2025, on Supernatural Cat Records. It contains four tracks at thirty seven minutes long.

Skyjoggers begin the album with an almost fourteen minute colossal track(s) of heavy stoner doom with loads of psychedelia. “Huevos Rancheros / Rapid Round” is a wandering and reckless ride of twisted jams and blazing guitar leads. The first four minutes or so, is a trippy exploration of heavy psych and fragmented stoner rock goodness. The vocals are sporadic yelling of echo-y sounds. The music dials in some slow sludgy fuzz tones and noisy atmospheric twists. The drums then pick up the pace and the space rock expedition commences with swirls of psych and rocking grooves. Everything cranks into orbit as the punk fueled rhythms take hold. The vocals have a phasey/echo effect that connects nicely with the cosmic jams. The music is dazzling with an acid rocking ambiance of intensity. The song is a ripper once it picks up and it doesn’t let up one bit for the rest of its duration. Great drum fills and sonic riffing is felt with this one.

The second track is called “Newtonin Kanuuna” and it’s much shorter, just under four minutes. It has a very cool sound with drum shuffles and adventurous guitar playing. Blankets of synth are wrapped around the rhythms and the instrumental song is fantastic. Skyjoggers break off into a super fuzzy doom riff that breaks up the frantic percussion only to return with the hyper jazz like drumming to end the song. The third track begins with low growling bass and airy sounds that kick in the heavy fuzz. “Døpehølm” is a doom-laden mind melting trip with shouty vocals with enhanced effects. The layers of synth are eerily placed in the song, which gives it a haunting vibe of desperation and destruction. The dynamics of sounds drives the track into delirium, and beyond. It’s definitely a very powerful and intriguing soundscape that shines a light on the different aspects of Skyjoggers. The song can change in an instant going from trippy to noise rocking and back again. The marching snare drum taps at the end drift right into “Tessaeil”, the final track on the album. “Tessaeil” continues on the warped path of psychedelic wonder, as the bass begins and leads it into a hard rocking escapade of heavy and spacy stoner grooves. It sounds incredible and messes with the neurons in the brain, having you think that you are on some mind altering drugs. The psychoactive effects that this music has on the listener is amazing.

12021: Post-Electric Apocalypse is a heady recording that fabulously mixes heavy rocking stoner jams with space enhanced sounds of an alien race. This is my first experience with Skyjoggers and I am really blown away! They cover a whole spectrum of cosmic sounds in less than forty minutes time, and simply send you on an astral journey into outer space.
