Sons Of Gulliver – Tetrahedric Hellscape Cannon

Sons Of Gulliver is heavy stoner rock band from Dallas, Texas. The duo features Justin Potter on bass guitar and vocals, and Dolphin Riot on drums and percussion. The band released some singles starting in 2023, which eventually led to their debut, 2024’s Self Titled EP. They just recently dropped their latest full length debut album, called Tetrahedric Hellscape Cannon, on February 28th 2026. It contains nine tracks at thirty one minutes long.

“F.T.S.” Is a noisy guitar swirly intro that kicks right into “Distortion Or Death “. Sons Of Gulliver has a raunchy rocking sound that is one part Motörhead and some whiskey soaked biker metal brigade. It’s raw and gritty to the bone! The low end fuzz is growing and works great on the title track “Tetrahedric Hellscape Cannon”. The bass riff intro is low and grooving and connects well with the punk beat drumming. There is a distinct catchiness to these songs that you can’t help but bob your head forward and back. They do a fantastic job filling in space and jamming along to the sounds. The vocals are burly and raspy with a nice aggressive appeal.

“Vagabonds of the Southern Madness” begins with some airy psychedelic noises that crank into the rocking rhythms. “Earthbound” is a quiet and melodic strumming of clean sounding guitars and tribal percussion. The instrumental remains mellow for its duration and then bursts into “Headcleaner”, a fuzz riding rocker with a sharp metal edge. “Dunes” is a noise-frantic rhythmic blending of funky tones and pounding drum beats. Sons Of Gulliver perform a Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young cover called “Ohio” that keeps the groove flow a rolling and hits the hard classic rock song in a different way. It’s raw and fuzzy and a cool inclusion on this great album. The last song, called “End Transmission” is just a short, bass noodling outro that has some psychedelic noises to complete it.

Sons Of Gulliver is a cool band that has an abrasive groove to all of these tunes. The vocals are grisly and raw with the straight ahead rocking of distorted bass and thunderous drumming that don’t quit. Tetrahedric Hellscape Cannon is a crass and aggressive slab of unrelenting rock that has a thick and dense tone of punkified doom.
